James B. McClurken, MD is a nationally recognized heart surgeon. He completed his training in cardiothoracic surgery at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in New Jersey. While at Beth Israel he served as chief cardiothoracic surgery resident, and also completed a fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery

Dr. McClurken has received numerous awards, has made 300 presentations on both national and international stages, and has written for numerous publications. He is consistently listed among Best Doctors in America, Top Physicians in America, and Top Docs in Philadelphia. He recently joined the Doylestown Hospital Medical Staff on a full-time basis after dividing his time between The Heart Institute of Doylestown Hospital and Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, where he was Professor and Vice-Chair of Surgery, Surgical Subspecialties and Director of Perioperative Services for Cardiothoracic Surgery.
