Joseph S. Auteri, MD, FACS
Cardiothoracic surgeon Joseph Auteri, MD, FACS grew up in Bucks County and attended Central Bucks East High School where he first honed his leadership skills as quarterback of the Patriot football team. He went on to Harvard University and then to Thomas Jefferson Medical School before completing post-graduate training at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York.
Dr. Auteri's combination of superior technical skill and extraordinary medical leadership helped crystallize Doylestown Hospital’s vision to establish a superior heart program that is ranked among the best cardiovascular programs in the nation, according to data compiled by the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
Dr. Auteri is highly skilled in minimally-invasive surgery, with and without robotic assistance.
